TAKE TO THE SKIES

Many extreme coaster fans travel the world seeking out the ultimate thrill. So when Flamingo Land invested £8m in a ride designed and engineered by international coaster guru Werner Stengel, the creativity of its branding and promotion had a lot to live up to.

Initially, hoardings around the construction site were turned into billboards, establishing a 1940s-style comic book backstory that helped build anticipation prior to launch. Focusing on the coaster’s sensation of zero gravity flight, the campaign developed into a tale of alien invasion, with Hero’s riders embarking on a thrilling mission to save Earth from impending doom.
